🌶️How warm up works and why it's so important

Warmup is a crucial tool in ensuring your domains have a healthy sender reputation and your outbound emails get to the primary inbox (and stay out of the spam folder!).

When you use a brand new domain for these outbound campaigns (which we recommend), there’s good and bad news.

The bad news is that you don’t have a reputation built up yet… The good news is you don’t have a reputation built up yet and therefore it’s not BAD - aka you are starting from scratch and have the opportunity to create a great sender reputation for your domain.

This is so important when firewalls and email servers (Google, Yahoo, Outlook) see an incoming cold email come in from an unknown sender - they immediately check your domain reputation and either pass you to the inbox or spam folder based on this. So, you want to make sure your reputation is good.

You can watch a quick overview video here on why warmup is so critical:

Our warmup system will start sending out warm up emails for you daily starting with low volume and ramping up, maxing out at around 40-50 warmup emails per day.

Once you connect your email account to the platform, our system will automatically see the volume of your sending history and inbox health, then intelligently structure and tweak the warmup settings for you as we go along - so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

We will make sure to open every warmup email sent from your inbox, to mark all sent emails as important, to oscillate between a healthy reply rate to your emails, to spend random times scrolling through your warmup email to mimic human like reading & behavior and more.

Again, all of these settings will be tweaked for you automatically as we progress depending on how many warmup emails are hitting the primary inbox.

In a future platform release, we aim to have advanced warmup statistics to show you so you can track the progress too.
